Description
When I made the mistake of momentarily removing my camera from in front of my face, one of the seven lynx kittens happened to spot me, and realizing I wasn't just a strange tree, a look of wide-eyed terror crossed its face. Instantly it burst into flight across the deck and leaped THROUGH the railing, sailing down our hillside to the deep grass in the terrace below! At that point, as you see her here, Mama walked over and gazed down the hill to see what was going on with her kitten. It seemed like she wasn't terribly worried; it was more like she was saying "What in the heck did you do THAT for?! That was CRAZY!!" She watched the rustling grass like this for perhaps a minute or two, until the kitten made its way back up to her. Shortly after this she gathered up the rest of her seven kittens, and quietly disappeared into the hillside brush.
