Rare Summer Day Kids T-Shirt

Here is a rare, idyllic summer day in Anchorage, Alaska, up on the bluffs above Cook Inlet. Across the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, you can see here the Kenai Mountains, for a moment bereft of all their snow. Any morning in the next few weeks, we will awaken to see "termination dust" highlighting those mountaintops, and know this kind of day won't return for awhile. Until then, walks on the bluffs at Kincaid will bring us Alaskans wonder at how inviting can sometimes be this place we get to call home.

I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon!
