Here are three lynx kittens racing in a three-way chase past the window on my deck. I had a really hard time getting them in the viewfinder & keeping them there long enough to get a shot!

I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon! Best wishes! Tim Newton

Please note: This crop is only about 1/2 of full frame (3461x2298). So it is already enlarged here. Also, since this shot was taken right after dawn, ISO was an extremely high 8000. Given these factors, I made the choice to actually enhance the grain on this image, somewhat, because I liked the effect. So bear in mind that strong grain will show at any size, and it will be even more pronounced with greater enlargement.
