I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon! Best wishes! Tim Newton

Beautiful shot Tim! l/f
Tim Newton replied:
Thank you, Carol!! :-) This was toward sunset on the descent from climbing Ptarmigan Peak. The distance I had yet to hike before getting back to my car was further than where the far mountain ridge disappears into the clouds. It was a long day!
