So happy I saw your post on FB! I ordered this one for my phone - love it! All your photos are so good I couldn't decide, so I ordered 4 greeting cards, and also a print of the baby lynx I also saw on your site. Blew my budget but I don't care - these photos are amazing! Thank you for making these available.

Tim Newton replied:

Haha!! Sorry about the budget thing, but thank you SO MUCH, Sara!! :-)

Artist's Description

Here is one of SEVEN baby lynx that visited my back deck in Alaska, early one autumn morning 2017. This lynx kit was curious figure out what I was, since I was standing motionless in a long bathrobe, with a camera covering my face, going click, click, click. After a moment I made the mistake of pulling the camera a bit away from my face, at which point the kitten launched into panicked flight! In the instant pictured, the kitten had no clue yet that I was anything other than a particularly odd-looking tree that goes "click".

About Tim Newton

Tim Newton

I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon! Best wishes! Tim Newton
