Artist's Description
Here is a tarn beneath Nagoon Mountain, in Alaska's Chugach Mountains, 4th of July, 2017. We were thinking of climbing Nagoon (in the background of this photo) but finding it clouded over, decided instead to wander around the many tarns beneath.

About Tim Newton
I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon! Best wishes! Tim Newton
