The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Sunset above Anchorage as seen from a ravine in Alaska's Chugach Mountains. Sleeping Lady (Mt. Susitna) in the distance. By the way, this looks warm but it was FREEZING up there, a very cold wind barreling down this ravine from the mountains above. I had on three layers and was wishing for more. My hands were numb taking this photo. Brrrrr... :-/

About Tim Newton
I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color.
