Fall colors on display in the windswept Turnagain Arm of Alaska's Cook Inlet. That's the Kenai Peninsula in the distance, across the expanse of glacial silt and too-soon-to-be-berg-filled glacial water.
This image was captured in RAW format at full resolution with a Canon 5d Mk III camera, 16-35mm f/2.8 L II lens, tripod stabilized, 16mm, 1/30 sec, f/22, ISO 100, 18.0 MB, 5428x3618 px.

About Tim Newton
I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color. Occasionally I'll get the opportune shot of wildlife as I trek about, and sometimes - but infrequently - I travel outside Alaska, where of course my camera accompanies me. :-) I am always updating images here from recent treks, and look forward to seeing you here again soon!
