Here is a mid-winter sunset on the Turnagain Arm of Alaska's Cook Inlet. The second-highest tides in the entire world bring miles upon miles of ice churning swiftly by, both in and out again, twice daily.

About Tim Newton
I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color.
