Wind-surfing on the Turnagain Arm of Alaska's Cook Inlet has become popular for a good reason: Wind! To thrive on a barren scrap of rock protruding from the glacial silt in a place where it snows sideways more months than not is an amazing feat of tenacity!

I am a lifelong Alaskan (except for a few years "outside") perpetually enthralled with Alaska's unique natural beauty. I carry a camera, lenses, and tripod about on frequent treks throughout the Alaska wilderness, often in the Chugach Mountains near my home. I am mostly drawn to conventional landscape photography - subject, light, composition, and color.
