Description
Here's a highly dramatized view of Sleeping Lady (Mt. Susitna) at sunset, framed by my favorite plant - Fireweed. This iconic view is found many summer nights on the West side of Anchorage where Alaska's Cook Inlet floods with the second-most extreme tides in the world, twice daily.
I'm usually more intent on realism, but in this image I tweaked color and shadow a lot, and also de-focused for more of an impressionistic feel.

I am glad you put the plant in the foreground. It completes the picture by complementing the horizontal lines of the water and horizon line. Great colors. Congratulations!
Tim Newton replied:
Thank you, Caroll!! :-) Haha!! When I find a scene like this, I am always madly searching about to find complementary foreground & background before the opportunity is gone. As the light waits only a few moments, sometimes it's an almost desperate rush, as it was on this occasion. :-)
