Description
A tuft of marsh grass tries to keep its grip in the silt flats of Alaska's Cook Inlet. It's tough to hang on here, because the surface is loose, fine, glacial silt, and frigid 30 foot tides sweep through twice daily. This location is on the West side of Anchorage.
